YEP, Mr Tay prepared that for the band members.
And the best thing is, THEY CAN WEAR IT DURING PRACTICES!!
it was really heartwarming to see them wear the badge together.
it shows how united they all are, and how much they love band.

today, we had our first full dress rehearsal.
so im here to update the alumnis who are performing together with us.
the band will do the opening and the closing of the performances.
we will be playing 'Heal The World' only.
for the opening, we will only play until bar 25. then the other performances will continue.
then finally at the end, the band will play the full piece of heal the world.
understooded?? (: hehe.

okay, as for the attire, the main band will be wearing the Band Uniform,
ofcourse with their badges. :D
AND the alumni will be wearing all black. formal black.
it doesnt have to be a button up shirt, neatly ironed and tucked in.
it can be any top that looks FORMAL/NEAT/PRESENTABLE.
probably you can think like Smart Casual? you know?
something comfortable. (: BUT IT HAS TO BE BLACK.
Mrs Ng specifically asked us to wear black.

the next full dress rehearsal is 24th Feb (wed).
from 3 pm onwards. it might officially end at 7pm.

WE HAVE AN UPCOMING SCHOOL EVENT!AND THE BAND IS PERFORMING TWO PIECES!
i aint gonna say the pieces. it would be a surprise! ;D
alright. here are the details.
Event: Green Life Concert
Purpose: To raise funds for our school's running track
Venue: Northbrooks Secondary School
Date: 26th Febuary 2010
Time: 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm
the band will be performing two pieces. both pieces are popular songs. ;D
the band is
in need of alumnis to perform for this concert.
well, partly because our band is very
young. so we need
experienced players.
*
more attention to percussionists, trombonists, bass clarinetist, and french horns.these particular sections are in need of more players.
so ALUMNIS! we're calling out for you!!
DO COME BACK AND HELP OUT!
we have some alumnis coming back to help already.
and they are, Xinhui, Timothy, Bertina, Huiting, Zhangyun, Iskandar, Victor and myself.
WE WILL STILL NEED MORE PLAYERS!! please!! :)
alright, if you are willing to come back and help, here are the possible practice dates.
Saturdays practices, only
23rd jan, 30th jan and 6th feb, 9 to 12 pm.
there are
usual band practices on every
mondays and thursdays. from 3 pm onwards.
the full
dress rehearsals are on
11th and 24th feb, 4 or 5 pm onwards.
so, please do attend and help out!! we need as many alumnis as possible! thanks!

anyway, recently on saturday, we had Sec 1 Orientation.
it went really well!!
you guys did a good job!!!
im so proud of you, really! :D

just take note. PUNCTUALITY is important.
if you're told to report at a certain timing,
for example 2.30pm,
you should report 15 mins earlier.
so by 2.30pm you will be seated and ready for Mr Tay.
remember!!! the earlier you start,
the faster you can go home!! right? (:
so work on that, and you'll be free from one less nag. ;D
